The AUG (Armee Universal Gewehr - “Universal Army Rifle”) is an Austrian 5.56 mm assault rifle, designed in the early 1970s by Steyr Mannlicher & Company. The AUG was designed as a modular, bullpup family of rifles that could be quickly adapted to a wide variety of roles. Bull pup rifles are firearms configured with the action and magazine behind the trigger. This configuration increases the barrel length relative to the overall weapon length, permitting shorter weapons, saving weight and increasing maneuverability. The AUG is a configuration rifle that employs a high level of synthetic and advanced alloy components. The Jing Gong Steyr AUG A2 is a redesigned version of the A1 that boasts a new charging handle and an integrated scope.
Jing Gong’s recent release of the AU-1G has been topped by their latest Airsoft Steyr AUG Release: the AU-2G. The AU-2G is also know as Jing Gong airsoft model number JG0449A. Jing Gong Airsoft Gun Company has again created an excellent airsoft TM/CA clone that can be had for under $175USD.

September 16, 2008, Butuan City government sponsored the event dubbed as City hall under siege. A total of 14 entries from and its neighboring cities and provinces.
It probably was one of the worst, disorganized, chaotic events in Airsoft history! Everybody were plinking everywhere, even the local teams admitted that it was terrible. The organizers, a bunch of BIKER MICE FROM MARS who obviously doesn’t have a clue, should have hosted a fucking drag race to death tournament!
One game was halted due to brawling participants, triggered by ignorant umpires who can’t identify a dead man walking!. A GI Sheet tumbled and almost hit one of the players! I mean, like, WTF! A Php 500 registration fee and the kill house is made of crap?? Oh! Btw, how can I forget the infamous souvenir (a bathing soap and mosquito coil)!!! It’s clearly POLITICS + AIRSOFT = NON-FUN! FOR PROFIT EVENT!
The local teams tried to help the organizers by volunteering as umpires, which, IMHO is bias since they have their own entries.

The Philippines will play host to the 1st World Airsoft Challenge, spearheaded by Popular Airsoft, in cooperation with US-based FilForce, and Hammerheads from the Philippines. Dubbed RAPIER 01, the 1st international airsoft tournament will pit the best 8-man airsoft teams from different countries from North America, Asia, and Europe.
Various airsoft tournament organizers are already in high gear, setting in motion the selection process of who will be their rightful representative in this much-awaited tournament. Popular Airsoft already has the ball rolling with Codename: Thunderstrike in the UK and Ratratan ‘08 in the Philippines, to be held in November and December 2008, respectively. The winning teams in Codename: Thunderstrike and Ratratan ‘08 will earn them the right to carry the respective flags of their countries.
Rapier 01, slated for a 2009 commencement, will be held in conjunction with the 1ST KAMI WARS, an airsoft milsim event for airsofters around the world.

Surigao Tactical Airsoft Group 1st Vice Mayors Cup, Hon. Rico Salvador Sering Airsoft Tournament successfully held at Camp Stag, Tuazon Park, Brgy. Luna, Surigao City.
With the Vice Mayor himself opening the event, emphasizing that we are not promoting war but sportsmanship and teamwork. 13 entries from S.A.R.G.E (Surigao Airsoft Rifle Group of Enthusiasts) , ASTIG (Airsoft Tigers), ASB (Airsoft Bislig), NASA (Northwestern Airsoft Strategic Alliance), ATAC ( Agusan Tactical Airsoft Club), RAT, ASGC.
STAG 8400 however, apologized for the technicalities and issues that aroused, as it is their first time to host such event. At the end of the day, 3 teams were victorious. ATAC being the champion, S.A.R.G.E - Bazakan the first runner up and NASA the 2nd runner up.
